In the last week we have had two special outreach ministries to children through Cornerstone Baptist Church. On Saturday (March 27) we hosted the “Little Timothy” Day Camp for Sunday School children. Students from Mountaintop B.C., Freedom B.C., and Cornerstone B.C. gathered at our church from 9 to 4 for a special day of teaching, games, and activities. We had about 30 students and 20 workers present, including several of our teens who also helped in various ways. The emphasis was on growing in Christ and was primarily aimed at children who are already a part of our Sunday School ministries. Emily Luo of the Priscilla Mission organized and directed this ministry which we deemed to be a success. Three children made professions of faith.
Then on Tuesday, March 30, we had the opportunity to enter a local elementary school and present the Easter story to a group of about 90 students. The students listened carefully to the lesson which contained a clear presentation of the gospel. Although it is difficult to gauge the results, it was well received and should leave an open door for future ministries. We thank the Lord for the privilege of sowing the seed of the Word and trust that He will cause it to bring forth fruit in His time.
